What To Expect @ The Gathering
Where are we located?
The Gathering is still in its early stages of development, so our location is temporary but evolving. On June 19, 2017 we reached a milestone in our journey as we purchased land in southern Alamance County where plans will be made to build permanent facilities for The Gathering. What a blessing it is to simply witness God’s plan in motion!
So as we continue in prayer for the Lord’s leading. In the meantime, we are gathering

Expressions of Worship

Parking and the entrance
Holly Hill Mall is an excellent facility for meeting our current needs, including ample parking and we have The Gathering signage which is easily visible from the main road. Valet parking is available for everyone!
What do I wear?
At The Gathering, we welcome you to come as you are. Some of our congregation may come in coat and tie or dresses and heels while others wear jeans and a t-shirt. We meet to worship the Lord and fellowship with other believers. We believe that it’s the attitude of your heart that matters to God, rather than your physical appearance.
What type of service format and music will I encounter at The Gathering?
The service format and atmosphere at The Gathering is traditional yet relaxed. Our Expressions of Worship include fellowship with one another prior to the service, a mix of favorite hymns and modern worship songs led by our music team, a time of sharing praises and prayer requests as one feels led, and most importantly, a time of teaching by our Pastor. Once a month we will have a covered dish supper at a separate location. This is a special time of connecting with each other on a personal level and we welcome you to join us! What version of the Bible do you use?
Our Pastor preaches from the New International Version. We accept all translations of the Bible that hold true to God’s Word.
How long is the service?
From the beginning of fellowship time prior to service to the end of our pastor’s teaching is about 1.5 hours. You can find the current schedule on our home page.
I’m in a wheelchair. Where do I go?
Our current demographics allow us much flexibility for accommodating those in a wheelchair. One of our members will be happy to assist you to a location in the Meeting Space where you can hear and see the service easily while maintaining your comfort.
What will my children do while I’m in the Worship Service?
Children are very precious to The Gathering! We currently have a curriculum available for children grades 2-5. They meet each Sunday morning in the “Media Room” at 10:30 a.m. The Media Room is located near the front entrance of the school and we have signage that will make it easy to identify where to bring your children. We will also have someone available to point you in the right direction. At this time we do not have a nursery available but expect that to be a reality in the near future as we continue to grow.
